I’ve got an eclectic background on the surface but have been passionate about doing my little part to make a better world since a fairly young age. (Where I got this instinct from is a question for which I have no clear answer, although I can speculate about the impact of a do-gooder mother, losing my father at a young age to a heart attack, and growing up in the midst of the idealistic ’60s.)
